Alice in Wonderland is Lewis Carroll, who also wrote the sequel Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There. He was born Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, and his pen name was Lewis Carroll.

Carroll attended Rugby School for eight years when he was a child. He studied mathematics at Oxford University until 1881. His thesis was titled “An Essay on Probabilities.” At age forty-two, he became a deacon in the Church of England before he started writing Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.

Carroll died suddenly from pneumonia at the age of 65. The last words that he said were, “I can’t explain.” His final book about Alice was published later that same year.

Alice in Wonderland is about a young girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole and lands in a fantasy world full of exciting characters. In this story, she often uses the phrase “Curiouser and curiouser.”

Her adventure begins when she sits on a riverbank with her elder sister and watches a white rabbit in a waistcoat and a pocket watch rush by. Curious about this, Alice follows the rabbit into a large hole nearby – which turns out to be a small door-sized portal to another world. She falls slowly for an unknown time before landing with a thump in the middle of a field.

Alice meets several bizarre characters along her journey, including the White Rabbit, the Cheshire Cat, and the Mad Hatter. The story takes off from there.

Although Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is considered a children’s book today – it was not initially meant for kids. During its publication, it was often read to children by their parents. Nevertheless, Alice in Wonderland is one of the most beloved books in most countries worldwide, including the United States.

Because of this novel’s fame and notoriety, various adaptations have been made about it over time, including a Disney movie in 1951 based on the Alice in Wonderland book made by Walt Disney himself.

In addition, Lewis Carroll’s life was also adapted into a movie called Finding Wonderland. It premiered on the ABC Family channel. This film showed how he first wrote Alice in Wonderland and his other works that have been published over time.
